Lingonberries
Lingonberries are related to blueberries and cranberries. This low-growing, evergreen groundcover grows to a height of 6 to12 inches. They prefer partial shade, abundant water, and are hardy. Clusters of bright red, tart berries are produced in August and September. Fruit flavor improves after the first frost. Fruit will make excellent preserves and syrups. This fruit is well known in Europe.
